Legendary Italian designer Giorgio Armani Showcases his latest Men’s wear spring 2009 Emporio Armani line as a part of the Milan Fashion Week. This Spring line has a lot of Navy and Black Armani is telling us that Spring does not always have to be about light and pastel colours.

Gabriel Aubrey Walks For Versace at Milan Men’s Fashion Week Spring 2009

Gabriel Aubrey might well be the luckiest man in the world with a woman like Halle Berry has the mother of his child. Gabriel walks the runway for Italian fashion house Versace looking very debonair. We are really feeling the outfit, but like we always say what’s made in Europe should stay in Europe.

The Versace line features a lot of light colours which is perfect for spring. We wish Gianni was alive to see that the great name has not gone down the drain, because season after season this fashion house has being turning out great designs.

 

 

 

 

Milan Fashion Week: Dolce and Gabbana Men Spring 2009

 

Italian Designers Showcased their new Spring 2008 line for men as a part of the Milan Fashion Week. We have the highlights of our favorite looks. Dolce and Gabbana are known to take many fashion risks. its all about the Individual and how they embrace fashion when wearing this label. European designs seem to embrace the Metro sexual thing than with American designers. American fashion for men even though it seems to be more European it still has a long way to go. Its still traditional in the sense that men will not wear skinny jeans or shirts that are too fitted.

Looks like some one is reading to much Uomo Vogue lately, we did an article a while back titled what the American Man would not wear, in this article we showed men at Milan Fashion week pushing different boundaries in clothing.

There a few men in music who don’t have a problem expessing themeselves in music, Pete Wentz, Lenny Kravitz, Prince, Andre 3000, and Kanye West. Justin joins the list of men, who has morphed into his own. Justin Timerlake is known in the music industry has the coolest white kid on the block. Justin started his new clothing line with best firend Chase called William Rast. The line is very upscale and expensive, but this does not stop his legion of fans to support his brand.

Dude Thats My Jacket!

Ashton Kutcher and Eric Dane must be shopping at the same place or they just have the same fashion sense. The two stars wear the same bomber Jacket. Ashton wore his brown bomber leather jacket to the premiere of his movie, “What happens in Vegas”, while Eric wears his to a Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s Store party in LA.

We have to say Ashton style has evolved over the years, we are not commending Demi on this either, because Aston had experience in the Fashion industry has a model way before he was an actor so some of that must have rubbed off on him.

Eric has always had his own personal style, after all he plays Dr McStreamy on TV, he has a lot to live up to.

Fashionable Couple Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Hit up South Beach, Miami!

Peter Wentz of the Chicago group Fall Out Boy and his lady love, were out on the party scene in Miami hot spot, South Beach last night. The make up wearing, tight jeans duo always seem to have their fashion right. Which brings us to say that Pete Wentz his a man who is well secure within himself. Ashlee is in town promoting her new album, “Outta My Head”.

The guy wears make up, he wears tighter jeans than most women we know, but he is still manly and has a huge following of teenage girls. The teen rock movement seems to have gone androgynous these days, now we can’t tell who is gay, or straight just by appearance. If we see a guy and a girl we just have to assume they are not gay. Everyone from the Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron, Pete Wentz from fall out buy all seem to be rocking the androgynous look the perfect hair, the make up and the very tight clothing and they say Metrosexualism was dead.

Ll Cool J launches his Todd Smith Clothing line at Macy’s Department store in Culver City in California. clothing line seems to be a hard thing to launch but when you are a celebrity your line gets instant advertising. Celebrity clothing lines comes and goes, only a few have been able to stay a float, Sean Comb’s label “Sean John, and Kimora Lee’s “Baby Phat are two of the most successful Clothing line started by Celebrities.

The clothing being featured by LL Cool J’s “Todd Smith” competes directly with new urban staples Ed Hardy, Sean John and True Religion. We strongly believe that if LL wants to start a line he should makes cloths that are different than what we see out there, because all the lines are starting to look the same.

Spring Foward In Fashion

Brown is always a colour reserved for fall in fashion runways, but hey you are a average guy living in an average world, screw what the runway thinks right. You can wear whatever you want whenever you want. But for all our fashionistas and yes they are male fashionistas too, new season means new clothes. Spring always means a rebirth after the Winter period when the trees start to come alive.

In Fashion, Spring is about being bold and pastel colors even for men, but we know our American Guys will not wear plaid pink pants, because not every one is as secure as British Golfer Ian Poulter who can still make pink pants manly right. In the spring show case designers show off their new collections which they hope will be the next big hit, light brown seems to be a big hit for the Spring. D&G, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, and Emporio Armani have all featured the earth color in their collection.

Fashion House Perry Ellis debut their Fall collection at the Mercedes Benz New York Fshion week. Perry Ellis is the 5th largest Mens wear line in the United States for taylored clothing. The Sportswear design company was founded by Perry Ellis who died in 1986. The Company has changed hands a few times, Isaac Mizrahi, Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford all got their start at Perry Ellis.  While going through all the designs feature dark colors that reflect Autumn.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Nautica Fall 2008 Collection!

Nautica previews its Fall 2008 line at the New York Fashion Week, the line is more for the average guy and features outfits that can be used to dress up or down, unlike many of the European designers who design menswear lines for fashion forward guys. I like these designs becuase the are not costume like it stuff you can pick off the rack at your favorite store.

The Return Of The Skinny Tie

At The Fall/Winter Milan Mens fashion Show all the designers are outfitting their models in Skinny ties. For those of us who can remember the late 1970′s and early 1980′s the skinny ties made its debut during that period with tight fitting suits, as the punk rock era passed the wearing of skinny ties slowly went away. Fashion is always evolving one minute something is hot and the next minute its not.

During 2007, we have seen a lot of celebrities rocking the Skinny tie look, (Justin Timberlake, Zac Efron, and Robin Thicke). You know celebrities have influence over what some people wear, and thats how designers market their products. They have the celebrities wear their merchandise then hope consumers react positively to it.

For all you sneaker addicts Air Jordan released new kicks on January 25th 2008. The retail value of these sneakers are $185.00. If you are a Basket ball fan you can learn to appreciate this sneaker otherwise you might not be interested. People tend to be more dressed up when they are going out. The clubs don’t even let you wear sneakers inside, but you can still wear your sneakers when you want to relax or you can just keep it as a collectors item.

What The Average American Guy Would Not Wear!

The Mens Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2008 Gucci Fashion Show wrapped up a few weeks ago. The Fashion was very cutting edge and clearly defines the trends which will be in the stores when fall arrives, but one thing for sure is that the average American men would not find this design so exciting. Unless you are the Jonas Brothers, Cisco Adler or Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, then you will not be able to appreciate the trends of today.

I think that American Men are more conservative with their Fashion. They play it safe, Brown, Black Blue and Black. European Guys take more risks with fashion, take for example Golfer Ian Poulter, pink pants with the slit at the sides. Homophobia plays a big part in what men are willing to wear in America. I think that European Men are really more secure with themselves and what they wear, they really don’t care about what people think about them.
